Making the Most of the Website: 5 Keys
Our website is in its 22nd year of operation. It contains thousands of items to boost our faith and enable us to communicate the good news to others more effectively. Here are some keys to enable us to better navigate the site:
BANNER: Check the sliding banner (top of homepage) for Fair Havens, Gift Subscriptions, Quiet Time series, and much more.
LAYOUT: Take a minute or two to see how the homepage is laid out, esp. the nine boxes in the center. These will help you get quickly to the most commonly visited parts of the site.
Q&A: Browse through nearly 1700 Q&As.
SPELLING: When searching, make sure all search phrases are spelled correctly. (Fuzzy search is not enabled.)
COMMENTARY: Consult the Living New Testament Commentary for any N.T. Bible question.
LOGIN: When searching for premium (all) material, be sure to login first with your username and password. (Non-members can still access a lot of material, but only members have full access.)
And if you’re benefiting from the website, please urge your friends to sign up!
The Nativity: Fact or Fairytale?
Check out this interesting talk from Tyndale house!
Peter Williams has been studying the Gospels, and therefore Jesus' birth story, for over 20 years. Tony Watkins recently sat down with him to explore the historical and textual reliability of the Nativity, one of the world's most popular narratives. In this engaging interview, Peter sheds light on the significance and reliability of the accounts of Jesus' birth found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
Advent Carol Series 18 of the inspiring 24 Advent carol devotionals have already been published. Begin each day with a carol. Access the carols here. Happy Christmas! |
Outstanding Financial Needs
There are still many multiple unmet financial needs in our ministry. These include biblical teaching materials (about $4400), the Nepal school ($3500), training ($45,000), and the general teaching fund ($75,000). Please check the DONATE section of the website for the specific areas. Thank you!
Resilience, highlights, & the embryo
By next week, all 24 Advent carol devotionals will be accessible. Special thanks to Chase Mackintosh (Atlanta) for compiling the offerings and liaising with the contributors. We’ll also review 2024 IBTM highlights, announce a resiliency training opportunity, and feature a guest article, “When Jesus was an Embryo.” Until then… |
